SIDEPIECE is the brainchild of Dylan Ragland (Party Favor) and Ricky Mears (Nitti Gritti). At only three years old, SIDEPIECE has already racked up some of the most prestigious awards in dance music, being nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Recording in 2021, as well as having the #1 most supported dance record in the world in 2020, and achieving platinum and gold certifications in a dozen countries for their breakout hit “On My Mind.” The duo has rapidly become one of the most sought after house acts in the industry, playing some of the most iconic venues and festivals around the globe like Lollapalooza, EDC, Tomorrowland, Bonnaroo, HARD Summer, and more, and racking up over half a billion plays across their catalogue on streaming platforms to date.
Highly esteemed producers in their own right, Party Favor and Nitti Gritti came together in 2019 to form SIDEPIECE and saw them unite their styles and help them earn a reputation for sliding between genres on the electronic music spectrum, whilst keeping firm footholds in the bass and trap worlds. Party Favor is Ragland’s genre-bending bass project counting over 400 million streams and multiple chart toppers to his name globally, having collaborated with the likes of Gucci Mane, Baauer, Dillon Francis, A$AP Ferg, and more, and just released his sophomore artist LP RESET through Ultra featuring K.Flay, Lil Gnar, Elohim, Marc E.Bassy, and more. Whereas, Nitti Gritti is a 12x platinum, Latin Grammy Award and a Latin Billboard Music Award winning producer for his work on Bad Bunny’s album ‘x100pre’ and the song “200MPH,” along with recently being given the #14 spot in the ‘2020 Best Producers’ ranking.
With his releases, 2AR pays forward the sounds that made him who he is. Drawn initially to the rawness of grunge, the urgency of rap, and the energy of house, he put all the pieces together.
2AR cut his teeth in Denver’s scene, headlining at legendary nightclub Beta and playing large-scale events like Decadence, Global Dance Festival, Mile High Spirits Block Party, and Corona Electric Beach.
His move to Miami has immersed him into one of the world’s most thriving music cultures and is proving to be the perfect spring board for the next steps in his career. He carries a residency at Treehouse Miami and has hit the Florida festival scene, playing both Countdown Orlando Invasion and Forbidden Kingdom.
Miami based DJ/Producers Ricky Remedy and Penguin Suit Lu are no strangers to the music scene. At the height of the 2013 electronic trap craze, Ricky Remedy found himself as one of the most sought after producers in the game. Making music for Flosstradamus, Diplo and Steve Aoki just to name a few. He started producing hip hop music from a young age and found early success placing records for artists like Wale, Tory Lanez and Yelawolf before transitioning to electronic music. Penguin was by Remedy’s side from the beginning helping co-manage his career, as well as creating content and consulting as an A&R.
Having been already seasoned in the new emerging EDM movement at the the time filming for the likes of Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta, Penguin became a vital asset to Remedy specially since he also came from a background of music and music production. The two continued to build a strong friendship over the years as they focused on their own careers in music and film, respectively. Now they are teaming up for their new project together under the name “Tastemakers” with which the duo aims to bring refreshing art to the urban and dance music scene.
A navigator through deep connected dance grooves in an open and intimate atmosphere.
That's how Evan would describe himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, with a motive to free everyone through what he calls Music Therapy. His style and sounds are inspired by a spectrum of musical influences. Having grown up on his parents' classic CD's of freestyle music (Take me away by mix factory, TKA, joyce Sims, Jenny Burton, C Bank) and synth driven 80's music (Depeche mode and New Order) all of which he continues to infuse with todav's new sounds
Fast-forwarding years later, here HEATT is opening for artists such as EDX, Hot since 82, Ben stirling, Sonny Fodera, and many more, and included a residency at Celine in Orlando. This is more than a hobby to him, it's what he loves as an artist and will continue to evolve his Music Therapy.
