Born in Providence, R.I., Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio is recognized for his musical talent as well as his reality star status on MTV’s highest rated show, “Jersey Shore,” which premiered in December 2009.
Quickly a fan favorite, MTV announced Pauly as the first cast member to receive his own spinoff, “The Pauly D Project,” chronicling his life as a celebrity DJ, which premiered on the network on March 29, 2012.
In summer 2013 Pauly spun across North America on the“In A World Like This” tour with Backstreet Boys and Jesse McCartney.
On January 15, 2013 Pauly released his first single, “Back To Love” featuring Jay Sean, on 50 Cent’s record label, G-Note Records. “Back To Love” soared to number four on the iTunes Dance Chart in less than 24 hours. Pauly also developed a full line of headphones with 50 Cent and SMS Audio and joined 50 Cent’s SK mission in helping fight world famine. Most recently, Pauly has been featured on “Extra” as their special correspondent interviewing celebrities such Britney Spears, Pitbull and Giada De Laurentiis in Las Vegas, where he currently resides.
Currently Pauly holds a DJ residency in Las Vegas at Rehab Pool at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and an Atlantic City DJ residency at The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s Resort. He has previously held residencies in Las Vegas at The Palms Casino Resort & at ARIA Resort & Casino.
Pauly has been named on Forbes Magazine’s “World’s Highest Paid DJs” list for two consecutive years, ranking him amongst some of the world’s most respected and distinguished DJs.
Pauly’s success has been rapidly expanding from the entertainment realm and in summer 2012 Pauly debuted his new line of ready to drink cocktails, REMIX Pre-Game Cocktails.
In summer 2011, Pauly joined the iconic Britney Spears on select dates of her Femme Fatale Tour, alongside Nicki Minaj. Pauly has also had the honor of DJing some of the biggest events in the world such as: “Miss USA,” “Teen Choice Awards,” iHeartRadio Music Festival, Bamboozle, and Jingle Ball LA alongside some of the most elite names in the music industry. He helped kick off House DJ Week on “Live! With Kelly,” and DJ’ed on “Good Morning America,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and “America’s Best Dance Crew.”
In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, amongst other initiatives to help, Pauly teamed up with The ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) to lend a voice to those who have none. Pauly supports many other charitable causes, working closely with The Rhode Island Chapter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and has worked with many great organizations such as The Boomer Esiason Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, GLAAD, GLSEN, and DoSomething.org. Through the Wish Come True foundation, Pauly’s commitment to charity continued when he surprised a young boy battling cancer at his home in 2012.
Pauly has been nominated for Best DJ in America for 3 years in a row, was voted #8 in 2010, and was also named one of VIBE Magazine’s “Top 6 DJs Who Rocked 2011.”
On July 23, 2012 Pauly won “Choice TV: Male Reality/Variety Star” at the “Teen Choice Awards” for the second year in a row, he was thrilled to be nominated for the third year in a row.
Pauly has proved his entrepreneurship meritorious by working on an exclusive line of tanning lotions and sunless products with Devoted Creations and a partnership in the Dirty Couture clothing line.
This powerhouse DJ has been honored as one of Men’s Fitness Magazine’s “Fittest Guys Of 2012,” one of US Weekly’s “Hottest Bodies” and came in close second in People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive On Facebook” contest. Cosmopolitan Magazine chose him to launch their first iPad application.
